Discover and Connect Cloud Phone Devices
Three methods to discover cloud phone devices on Hive Cloud Box: auto discovery, manual host discovery, manual IP add, with illustration and FAQ.

Feature Overview
When using Hive Cloud Box for the first time, you need to discover and connect the cloud box hardware device with the NestBrowser client. This document introduces three methods to discover cloud phone devices.
Prerequisites
- Hive Cloud Box hardware is ready
- NestBrowser client is installed on the computer and logged in
- The computer and the device are on the same local area network (connected via network cable)
Method A: Auto Discovery (Recommended)
Steps:
- Plug in the network cable and power on the device, ensure the computer and device are on the same local area network
- Wait 30 seconds for the device to fully boot
- Open NestBrowser software and log in
- Click “Switch Cloud Phone” in the upper right corner to switch to cloud phone management page
- Click “LAN Deployment → Cloud Phone”, at this point you should see the newly connected device
Method B: Manual Host Discovery
If Method A fails to automatically display the device:
- Plug in the network cable and power on the device, wait 30 seconds for it to fully boot
- In the opened NestBrowser software interface, click the “Discover Host” button on the right
- Wait a moment, the software will automatically search for new devices in the LAN
- Click the “Refresh” button to refresh the device list, and you can see the new host
Method C: Manual IP Add
If the above two methods cannot discover the device, and you already know the device IP address:
- Click the “Add IP” button
- Enter the IP address of the cloud box device
- After adding, click the “Refresh” button to see the new host
FAQ
Q: Cannot see the device?
- Confirm the computer and cloud box are connected to the same router or switch
- Check if the network cable is firmly inserted
- Try powering off and then powering on the cloud box again
- Wait 30 seconds before refreshing the device list
Q: Discovered the device but cannot connect?
- Confirm the device has fully booted (status indicator is normal)
- Click “Reconnect” in NestBrowser to try again
- Check if the device IP is on the same network segment as the computer
Q: How to get the cloud box IP address?
- View the connected device list in the router backend to find the IP corresponding to the cloud box device
- Or use the “Add IP” function in NestBrowser to manually input the known address
