Operation Steps
Clone Cloud Phone
- Open the source cloud phone that needs cloning in NestBrowser client
- Go to “System Settings → Cloud Phone Tools”
- Select “Clone Current Cloud Phone”
- Select target location (new cloud phone or new instance)
- Click “Start Clone”, wait for cloning to complete
The source cloud phone can be used normally during cloning, it is recommended to operate during off-peak hours to save bandwidth.
Backup Cloud Phone
- Open the cloud phone that needs backup
- Go to “More Tools → Backup and Restore”
- Click “Create Backup”
- Enter backup name (recommended to include date and purpose)
- Select backup content scope (full backup / app data only / media files only)
- Click “Confirm Backup”
Restore Cloud Phone
- Open the target cloud phone
- Go to “More Tools → Backup and Restore”
- Select an existing backup record
- Click “Restore”, confirm the operation
- Wait for restore to complete, system automatically restarts
Notes
- Backup File Size: Full backup includes system image and app data, it is recommended to reserve more than 20GB storage space on the cloud box
- Clone Target Count: Single clone operation supports up to 5 target instances
- Data Consistency: It is recommended to close running apps before cloning to ensure data integrity
- Restore Overwrites Data: Restore operation will overwrite all data of the target cloud phone, please confirm or backup important data on the target end in advance
FAQ
Q: Will the cloud phone ID change after cloning?
No. The cloned cloud phone has an independent ID and serial number, completely isolated from the source cloud phone, can be controlled independently.
Q: Where are backup files stored?
Backup files are stored on the cloud box local disk by default. You can view and export them in NestBrowser’s “Storage Management”.
Q: How to handle clone failure?
- Confirm the source cloud phone status is normal (running)
- Check if the cloud box storage space is sufficient
- Retry the operation, contact technical support if it still fails
