Discover the Hive Cloud Box device

Three methods to connect the Hive Cloud Box hardware to NestBrowser, completing device discovery and connection.

Prerequisites

  • The NestCloud Box hardware is ready
  • The computer has the NestBrowser client installed and logged in
  • The computer and the Cloud Box device are on the same local network (connected via Ethernet cable)

Steps:

  1. Connect the device to the Ethernet cable and power it on, ensuring that the computer and the device are on the same local network
  2. Wait for 30 seconds until the device is fully booted
  3. Open the NestBrowser software and log in
  4. Click on the “Switch Cloud Machine” button in the upper right corner to switch to the cloud phone management page
  5. Click on “Local Network Deployment → Cloud Phone”, and you should be able to see the newly connected device

Method B: Manual Host Discovery

If Method A does not display the device:

  1. Connect the device to the Ethernet cable and power it on, waiting for 30 seconds until it is fully booted
  2. In the opened software interface, click the “Discover Host” button on the right side
  3. Wait a moment, and the software will automatically search for new devices
  4. Click the “Refresh” button to refresh the device list, and you should be able to see the new host

Method C: Manually Add IP

If the above two methods do not work, and you know the IP address of the device:

  1. Click the “Add IP” button
  2. Enter the IP address of the connected device and add it directly
  3. After adding, click the “Refresh” button, and you should be able to see the new host

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What if I can’t see the device?

  • Ensure that the computer and the Cloud Box are connected to the same router/switch
  • Check if the Ethernet cable is securely plugged in
  • Try powering off and then powering on the Cloud Box again
  • Wait for 30 seconds and then refresh

Q: What if the device is discovered but cannot connect?

  • Ensure that the device is fully booted (status lights are normal)
  • In NestBrowser, try “Reconnect”
